The Inbox: everything waiting for a human decision
The platform does a lot on its own and stops, deliberately, wherever a decision belongs to you. The Inbox is the list of those stops. The goal is an empty Inbox at the end of the day.
What reaches it
Only things that cannot proceed without a person: a receipt to file, a payment to allocate, a ticket to triage, an invitation to resend, an HR date to decide, OR serials to enter, a stock count to reconcile, a document the reader could not parse. Each item opens straight into the screen that resolves it, and leaves the Inbox when resolved.
What does not
Notifications. "Invoice sent", "payment received", "cleaner checked in" are facts, not decisions; they live on My day and in the audit log. Putting them in the Inbox would bury the seven things that matter under seventy that do not.
Who sees what
The Inbox is filtered by role. A receptionist sees receipts, payments and invitations. A manager sees those plus tickets and stock. An admin sees everything including HR. Items can be assigned to a person, and an item that sits for two days is flagged on the owner's My day.
Month close
An empty Inbox is the first line of the month-close checklist. A receipt unfiled or a payment unallocated on the last day means the month's numbers are not yet true.
