The audit log: who did what, when
When a number is wrong, the first question is not how to fix it. It is what happened. The audit log answers that for every record in the workspace, and it cannot be edited from the app.
What is recorded
- Every create, change and delete of a record — with the field, the old value and the new one.
- Every sign-in, successful or not, with the network address; every lockout.
- Every "View as" session: when it started, what was done during it, when it ended — under both the viewer's and the viewed person's names.
- Every export and every file download, with who and which file.
- Every action the platform takes by itself: the nightly run, invoices raised on schedule, backups and their size, reminders sent.
What is not
Reading. Opening a page or looking at a record is not logged — the log would drown in it, and looking is not an action. Downloading a file is, because a copy has left the system.
Finding what you need
Settings › Automation › Audit log. Filter by person, by record (type a tenant's name, an invoice number, a unit), or by date. Every record's own page also has a History link that opens the log filtered to just that record, which is usually the faster way in.
Who can read it
Owner and admin roles see the whole log. A manager sees the log for records they can reach. Tenants do not see it; their portal shows them the status of their own invoices and tickets, which is the part of the history that concerns them.
