Automation settings: the nightly run and the health card

Once a night, the platform does the things that should not need a person: raise the invoices, age the overdue, take the backup, send the proposals. The Health card is how you know it happened, and what to do if it did not.

By the end of this pageYou will know what the nightly run does in what order, how to set its options, and how to read the Health card.

Settings

Settings › Automation: the raising day for repeating invoices (or per schedule), send vs hold as drafts, automatic day-7 reminders on or off, proposal hour, backup time, offsite destination, retention periods. Each has a sentence explaining what turning it on commits you to.

The Health card

At the top of the same page, and on the owner's My day when something is wrong: last run time, what it did (counts), anything that failed (a send that bounced, a backup that could not write), and the last fifteen lines of the error log with a button to clear it. Green means last night ran and nothing failed. Amber means it ran with failures, listed. Red means it did not run — and the owner gets an email.

If it did not run

The run is triggered by a scheduled job on the server; if that job is missing or the server was down, nothing happens and the card says so. Run now performs a safe catch-up: it raises what is due, never twice, and never sends anything that would have been held. Then fix the schedule.

Time zone. Everything runs on Asia/Manila time regardless of where you are. "Today" for invoicing means today in Manila.
