Several buildings, one workspace: per-building views and totals
Two buildings is where a spreadsheet per building stops working and a tab per building starts lying. The platform keeps each place whole and adds one layer on top that sums them.
Two levels of My day
Owners and admins land on the portfolio: one card per place (or a folded card for scattered units), each with occupancy, received and net, and a summed line on top. Open a card and you are in that place's own My day, which is exactly the page a single-building workspace has. Managers assigned to one place land there directly and can go up only if their role allows.
Lists and reports
Every list — invoices, expenses, clients, stock, tickets, staff — carries a place filter, defaulting to all places for owners and to their place for managers. Reports total per place and across. The P&L shows places as sections with a portfolio total; general expenses split within their place, and a cost that truly spans places (your own salary, the accountant) is scoped to the workspace and split across places by units.
Staff scoped to places
A person is assigned to one or more places. A cleaner at Sunset Villas sees Sunset Villas on her Today page and nothing about Harbour Ridge. A manager of both sees both. The owner sees all. Assign in People › Staff; the scope is enforced in every query, not just hidden in the menu.
Settings per place
Payment details, logo, invoice footer, utility tariffs, split rule, gate, rota — per place. Numbering, staff, roles, expense categories, sending — per workspace. When a setting could be either, the place page shows "using workspace default" with an override.
