Premises for an HOA: dues, gate, support — without the building
An association is a landlord with no building and seventy landlords as customers. The platform's flat shape, with the words changed, turns out to be exactly what a treasurer and a guard post need.

| The subdivision | A flat place — streets, blocks, phases |
| A lot | A unit, with its homeowner |
| Monthly dues | A repeating invoice per lot |
| Officers and board | Staff accounts with roles; the treasurer is a manager |
| Guard post | The Gate, on a kiosk phone |
| Homeowners | The portal: dues, receipts, gate, tickets, notices |
| Guards, lights, garden | General expenses, split across lots by the by-laws' rule |
| Clubhouse, park | Common areas: expenses and cleaning, no invoices |
What the words become
Mark the workspace as an association at sign-up or in Settings › Business. Navigation reads Dues, Homeowners, Gate, Support, Notices. Invoices say STATEMENT OF DUES. The portal says "your dues" not "your rent". Nothing else changes; the data is the same shape underneath.
What an association gets that a building does not use much
Notices to every homeowner at once, on the portal and by WhatsApp — a water interruption, an assembly, a new rule. Arrears ageing — dues unpaid for 30, 60, 90+ days, per lot, the treasurer's report. Lot transfers — a sale moves the lot to the new homeowner with the history intact and the arrears, if any, flagged for the transfer. Tenant logins — a homeowner who rents out can give their tenant a gate-only portal.
What it does not do
Run elections, hold minutes as a formal record system, or manage the association's own bank account. Minutes and resolutions can be uploaded as documents; the books the treasurer keeps for the association's accountant come from the same monthly pack as a building's.
