Turnovers: move-out cleaning and move-in readiness

The days between one tenant's key and the next tenant's key are the most expensive days a unit has. A turnover is a short project with a checklist, and the platform counts the days so you know what each one costs.

By the end of this pageYou will know the turnover sequence, what the turnover checklist is, how repairs and restocking attach, and where the vacancy days show.

Three checklists

Inspection — what to look at and photograph at move-out (and the same list at move-in). Turnover — what a full reset of the unit involves; everything due. Short-stay changeover — the shorter version between guests. Set all three in Housekeeping › Setup; the provided ones are a starting point.

Days counted

Move-out to ready is turnover days; ready to move-in is vacancy days. The unit's page and the housekeeping report show both, and the P&L prices them at the unit's running cost plus share of general. A building averaging nine turnover days that could do five has a number to aim at.

Restocking

The turnover job ends with a restock line: the unit's standard kit (bulbs, a bin liner, a welcome bottle of water) moved from storage, recorded as transfers. The kit per unit type is set once.

Same-day turnovers in short-stay units use the changeover checklist and skip inspection photos unless damage is found. The day counter still runs, in hours.
