Visit proposals: letting tenants accept or decline a cleaning

A cleaner at the door of a tenant who is asleep is a wasted slot and an annoyed tenant. A proposal the night before — accept, decline, pick another — turns the rota into an appointment.

By the end of this pageYou will know how proposals are generated, what the tenant sees, what happens on accept or decline, and what the record shows.

Turning it on

Settings › Housekeeping › Proposals: on or off per place, the hour to send, the reply deadline, the default if no reply (accepted or declined), and whether to send by WhatsApp as well as the portal. Buildings with furnished units and weekly cleaning usually want it on; subdivisions cleaning common areas do not need it.

Ad-hoc visits

A tenant can request a visit from the portal — "can someone come Thursday" — which arrives as a proposal in reverse: you accept into an open slot or suggest another. Same record.

Declines

The reason is free text with a few quick picks: away, unwell, guests, not needed. Monthly tasks that were due stay due; the matrix shows them amber then red. That is correct — the tenant declined, the work is still owed, and the record says why.

Lease clause. Proposals work best when the lease says cleaning is weekly and access is expected with a day's notice. The platform gives you the notice and the record; the lease gives you the footing.
