"View as" a staff member: seeing their screen without their password

From the staff list, View as on a row, or from the person menu on any page. You land where they land — a cleaner on Today, a receptionist on My day — with their navigation, their pages, their data scope. A dark banner says who you are viewing as and who you are; Return to yourself is always there.

The guards

Owners and admins only. You cannot view as an owner, as yourself, as a deactivated account, or as an admin unless you are the owner. No nesting — you cannot view as someone and then view as someone else. Actions taken while viewing are recorded as the viewed person with a note that it was you, and writes are limited to what they could do.

What is logged

Start, end, who viewed whom, from which page. The person viewed does not get a notification, but the audit log entry is visible to the owner, and an owner can see who has been viewing whom on the Security page.

When to use it

After assigning a role: check the wall is where you expect. When someone says "I can't see the button": see what they see. When training: show a new receptionist their own screen before they sit at it. Not for reading someone's work over their shoulder — the log makes that visible, and it should.
